The Angry Angus Surly is a timeless instrument hand crafted in New England using only the finest materials and nitro cellulose lacquer finishes. Angus adds some light aging to the guitar -- never gashes, gouges, or heavy corrosion -- to give it a used but cared-for look. The result is an S-Style guitar that accurately recreates the looks, sound and vibe of early instruments, but with a more modern neck profile to suit today's playing styles.
The Angry Angus Testy (angry - testy, get it?) is a lightly aged T-style guitar hand crafted right here in New England. Using only the finest materials and finished in a beautifully checked nitrocellulose lacquer, the Angus Testy has the look of a guitar that just begs to be played, and the vibe you've been chasing but could never find in mass produced products.
Angry Angus guitars are hand crafted right here in New England by Scotsmen annoyed by the fact the Americans put ice in everything including their Scotch, and being forced to drive comfortable, reliable cars. Seriously, Angry Angus guitars are hand crafted versions of the classic Fullerton designs, and are available with light aging or shiny if you prefer. These are not relics or road kill; they are just given the patina of age and time. Angus guitars are not parts guitars either: The body and necks are built by Angus, they use only nitrocellulose lacquer with no fillers or sound-dulling sealers, the hardware is Gotoh, and the pickups Lollar or Fralin. The result is a guitar that just oozes vibe, feels nicely broken in, and has the clarity and timeless tone that only good wood, a good finish, and expert craftsmanship can create. We will be stocking Angus guitars in limited quantities, and are also happy to take special orders. All guitars come with a G&G USA-made tweed case.
