The Emerson Custom Guitars EM-Drive is a very transparent drive pedal that's great when you want "more" of your guitar, but don't want to alter your guitar's tone. The volume knob offers plenty of neutral gain to give you guitar a transparent boost without any additional steely treble of boomy low end. Up through about two o'clock the gain knob provides just a wisp of "hair" and mild low end accentuation, and does a nice job of emulating a tube amp that's fully reached operating temperature. Beyond two o'clock the pedal gets warmer and grittier, but we love it more for what it doesn't do. This is a special limited edition of 50 finished in black with clear knobs. Runs on 9 VDC top negative.
