IN STOCK - The concept of an amplifier attenuator is a great idea: An easy to use "box" that will allow the player to achieve the tone of their favorite amplifier cranked up, but at reasonable volume levels. However, there "ain't no free" and often the side effects of many attenuators include a loss of high frequency response, mushy tone, and a loss of "feel" between the player and the amplifier. Rivera took this all into consideration when designing the RockCrusher, and this product provides a boatload of useful attenuation options while maintaining accurate tone and feel.
Available in snazzy Pearl White, the Venus 3 is a 6v6 based amp that combines modern features with blackface-inspired rock tones at very useable volume levels. I give Rivera high marks for using the 6v6 power tubes instead of the ubiquitous EL84's used by so many boutique builders.
