z1972 Yamaha FG-300 - Nippon Gakki Red Label USED
SOLD - To our vintage gear lovers we present this hidden gem: A 1972 Yamaha FG-300 with the rare Nippon Gakki Red Label. This model was built in Japan during what was certainly a golden era for Yamaha acoustics, and these guitars were renown for the unparalleled quality of their laminate woods and detailed craftsmanship. If something about this dreadnought looks familiar that's because it is Yamaha's homage to the legendary Gibson Hummingbird, straight down to the sculpted wood pickguard. Aged like a fine wine with Rosewood body and Spruce top the FG-300 is makes its mark in both tone and style.
We acquired this piece from the original owner who took magnificent care of the guitar. It has one noticeable ding on the lower bout of the body, some wear on the neck binding and almost no fretwear below the third fret. Comes with original Yamaha hardshell case and tag.
