G&L

G&L is the continuing evolution of the classic designs that Leo Fender made famous. Unconvinced that the old way is always best, Fender continued to develop his G&L guitars with innovative features like the Magnetic Field Design Pickups and Dual Fulcrum Tremolo. The company continues this tradition today with their Non-Compression Truss Rod Neck and Plek® laser guided fret finishing on every USA guitar. For about the price of an off-the-rack “original” you can have the stunning finishes, flawless playability and unique tone of a G&L. And if you don’t see what you like here, you can custom order your own personal G&L choosing from their wide range of finishes, neck profiles, woods and pickup configurations. Most custom orders arrive in only about 8 weeks. The hardest part will be making up your mind!

Godin

Without a doubt, the Godin product line offers some of the best values and features in a North American built guitar. Built in both Quebec and New Hampshire, Godin offers solid bodies, jazz guitars, basses and the unique Multiac line of acoustic-electrics. Godin has the guitar for any style of playing, often priced competitively relative to the imports. The Godin line just keeps expanding in every direction, offering their own unique vision on the art of guitar building. The Godin factory keeps a large inventory of product on hand, and if you don't see what you want, normally it's just a few days away.

Emerson Custom

Emerson Custom is located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and they make the nicest pre-wired control assemblies for Stratocaster, Telecaster, Les Paul and other popular guitar models. They use only high quality Emerson-spec CTS potentiometers, Oak Grigsby switches, Switchcraft Jacks, their own exclusive USA paper-in-oil (PIO) capacitors, and vintage-correct wiring. If you can install a pickup, you can install a pre-wired assembly and wring every ounce of tone out of your guitars. We have several popular models in stock and if you don't see what you are looking for, just ask. Emerson also makes some great pedals including their popular EM-Drive and Paragon overdrive and distortion pedals.

ESP Guitars

We are excited and proud to announce our partnership with ESP Guitars. At UpFront Guitars we have a saying that every successful brand needs three things: Quality, Consistency and History. After a long awaited introduction to the people and products of ESP, it is clear that they pass this test with flying colors. ESP began as a humble replacement part shop 43 years ago in Tokyo, Japan. People quickly realized that their parts were of very high quality, and ESP became a destination for custom guitar projects and OEM manufacturing. Their custom work launched a frenzy of interest by world-class players, pushing the brand into full guitar and bass production and new offices in New York City and ultimately Los Angeles, California.

Fast forward to today, ESP remains a premium manufacturer that caters to nearly every type of guitarist and a full range of price points. At UpFront Guitars you will find a beautiful selection of ESP's from both their USA and Japanese factories. These guitars are crafted by some of the world's best talent, and are guaranteed to inspire the working professional, hobbyist or collector. Come see what ESP can do for you.

Heritage Guitars Inc

When it comes to guitars, we have certain criteria that allows us to find products that we can believe in, not just sell. In a few words it boils down to: Quality, Consistency and Story. After a few years of contemplation we decided to pull the trigger on Heritage Guitars at NAMM 2017. With a name like "Heritage" it was obvious that their story was a focal point of the brand, and rightly so. In 1985 a group of senior employees from the original Gibson factory in Kalamazoo decided that even though Gibson left the year before, a hundred plus year legacy of guitar building was something that shouldn't be lost. That spring they purchased a portion of the old building equipment and started producing guitars like they knew how: one by one, by hand. Now with new ownership, investment and energy, each Heritage guitar is made to be its own masterpiece and not one-of-many. These guitars may look familiar but have their own story to tell.

JAM Pedals

Here is yet another gem we discovered while wandering around the NAMM show in 2018. Originally attracted by colorful artwork, the JAM Pedal brand was about to blow our minds. Started 10 years ago by mastermind Jannis Anastasakis, JAM Pedals has grown into a team of designers dead-set on changing the standard of a "good" stompbox. Their products are all hand-made and hand-painted in Athens, Greece making each pedal totally unique yet offering consistent performance. Their circuits are inspired by age-old effects, perfected with an eye toward the future and some help from rare NOS components. Even more impressive is their totally immersive Custom Shop. You can order any one of their pedals complete with point-to-point wiring and a personal paint job. Thinking of multiple pedals for your board? JAM will put together 2-15 pedals in a single housing, individually functional and true bypass. You can see an example of a sold multi-pedal on this page. Want it custom painted? Covered in Tweed? Sure they'll do that too.

We are very picky about guitar effects at UpFront Guitars mostly because we believe in hearing the true personality of one's instrument and all too often stomp boxes can mar the signal beyond recognition. JAM is one of the companies that understands this problem and we can hear it in their products. JAM Pedals are designed to enhance your sound, not change it. We are extremely proud to be a JAM dealer so don't hesitate to find out what they can do for you.

Art and Lutherie Guitars

As experienced Godin dealers, we are very excited to carry another family brand: Art & Lutherie acoustic guitars. They got their start in the mid 90's and have been making guitars by hand in Princeville, Quebec right alongside their big brother, Norman Guitars. Art & Lutherie uses a combination of technology and tradition to create high quality instruments that just about everyone can afford. And like their peers in the Godin family, they do this while focusing on environmentally safe manufacturing and using sustainable hardwoods and materials.

Solodallas

The Solodallas Schaffer Replica™ is a sweeping guitardom as the "Sound of Angus" from AC/DC. A faithful replication of the 70's Schaffer Wireless Guitar transmitter minus the wireless part, the Schaffer Replica provides increased dynamic range and line buffering to give your guitar the sparkle and presence of Angus Young and many other great players of the 70's.

Porter Pickups

Located in Boise Idaho, Porter pickups makes a wide range of classic pickup designs and specials for almost any type of guitar. We will be adding to our selection Porter Pickups over time, but our first projects with Porter include a special set just for the G&L Fallout, and a Humbucker specifically voiced for HSS-type guitars. The folks at Porter are super cooperative and we look forward to more great products in the coming months.

CBI Cables

C.B.I is a professional wiring company from Upstate New York. They are a family owned and operated business that provides us with a wide array of hand assembled cables made in the USA. With products covering just about any type of cable one could need, we are proud to offer their high quality work at an affordable price. If you don't see what you are looking for, drop us a line. Hughes and Kettner Amps

With over 30 years of tube and solid state engineering, Hughes and Kettner offers a vast array of musical products. Designed in Germany and built in China, they specialize in very affordable amplifiers packed with high-tech features and versatile sounds. Like Traynor Amplifiers, the Hughes and Kettner brand is part of the Yorkville Sound family and Upfront Guitars is proud to offer these modern rock and roll machines to our loyal customers.

Traynor Amps

In our search for reasonably priced amplifiers that met our requirements for great tone and being made in North America, there were very few real choices. Traynor stands out as offering the serious guitarist serious amplifiers that offer tube construction, high quality components, and very good build quality at a fair price. Traynor has a surprisingly deep array of offerings, and we're focusing on amplifiers that offer simplicity, pure tone, and easy portability for the gigging musician or home player. Traynor amps are not hand-wired boutique affairs stuffed with esoteric NOS components, but their 40+ years of experience have taught them a thing or two about tone. We're totally impressed with what they have to offer, and are very excited to offer these products to our customers.

As you may know, Traynor is part of Yorkville, which includes everything from Hughes and Kettner amplifiers to complete Pro Audio Speaker systems. We have access to the complete line, so if you are looking for something from H&K, or putting together a Pro Audio system for your band, drop us a line.
