As a long standing G&L dealer, we have affinity for anything Fender related. This piece is a freshly released Fender American Original 60's straight out of the box with all the bells and whistles. Made in the USA it has the workmanship you would expect from a top notch Fender with specs directly pulled from a 1965 transition era model. With the Nitro Olympic White finish it has the quintessential vintage Strat look and besides being nostalgic eye-candy, it's really easy to play. The neck has a fairly modern 9.5" radius for amicable bends and the chunky C shape neck that gives players the option of thumbing notes or not.
The pickups on the '60s Strat really make it. They are meticulous recreations of '65 specs which carried a lot more low end power while retaining the glassy quack we all know and love. Stevie Ray and Jimi fans will dig this guitar for many reasons, and sound-wise it's dead on. A guitar like is the best of both worlds: It's built to feel and sound like the best of vintage gear, but with modern quality control and consistency.
