Ovation guitars have quite a back story, dating back to the Kaman Aircraft company in Connecticut. Featuring the signature design and construction that first put Ovation guitars on map in the late 60's, this 2004 Connecticut-made 12-string is in excellent shape and ready for its next chapter. 

This guitar is in excellent shape with a nice flat no-crack top, secure bridge, and zero fret wear. No noticeable chips, dings or scratches. The electronics are functional and it includes the original hardshell case. All guitars receive a pro setup by us before shipping. 

In their business of making aircraft components -- including props and helicopter blades -- Kaman had expertise in woodworking and advanced materials. The Ovation guitar combines a traditional material braced spruce top with a rounded composite back. The structurally strong round composite back does not require any bracing, and the rounded back is felt to improve projection and volume over a conventional box design. In addition, the rounded shape reduces standing waves inside the guitar (no parallel opposing surfaces) which greatly reduces the likelihood of feedback. In the 70's and 80's Ovation guitars became a common site on stage with many performers such as Melissa Etheridge and Glen Campbell, and become widely know as excellent live performance instruments.
