USED Takamine F-370S Spruce/Rosewood 1977 Dreadnaught Acoustic Guitar w/Hybrid hardshell case
It's said that immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and that certlainly goes for guitars. Before Takamine became known for their own range of models and innovations, they took direct inspiration from their US counterparts. And as in the case of this 1977 F-370, very literally indeed.
Very much a direct take on the Martin D-28, the F-370 does it all in the right ways, with excellent craftsmanship, wood quality, fit and finish. Plus with 48 years of aging under obviously good care, it's sounding better than ever. If you are a Takamine fan, or just appreciate the vibe and resonance of older instruments, the Takamine F-370 is worth your consideration.
This guitar is in excellent condition for its age, with all good glue joints, no gaps or splits, and very little in the way of marks or handling. Fret wear is negligible. The saddle has been shaved (the previous owner wanted VERY low action) and the action at the 12th fret is .055-.060. If you have a light touch it plays well, but a new saddle might be in order for more dynamic players. Hybrid case is in good condition, but not original.
