JAM Pedals Boomster - Silicon Clean Boost

Add to Cart
Introducing the pint sized powerhouse your board has been missing: The Boomster by JAM Pedals. Don't let the size of this one-knob box fool you, it's got plenty of power on tap and a variety of uses. The circuit itself is a silicon based boost that is more than just a volume jump. There is a noticeable "thickening" agent in this pedal which compared to other "clean boosts" out there seems to enhance your original signal even if you set it at unity gain. The frequency spectrum is kicked up in a balanced way that benefits almost every type of pickup. Need more clarity and percussion from your humbuckers? Done. Need to fatten up your single coils? No problem. We viewed this application of the Boomster as a "presence" boost where you could stick out in the mix without simply overpowering the rest of the band. The more obvious use for this pedal is overdriving the front end of your amp, either alone or stacked with your favorite drive pedals. This is easy to do even in the factory setting but JAM kindly added an internal trimmer that sets the amount of gain on tap. This way you can fine tune the Boomster to work seamlessly with your rig, no matter how many boxes you choose to put on the floor. Overall, we loved the Boomster and if you're looking for a low risk entry into the world of JAM Pedals, this is it.

While the effects market is intensely saturated with new products being released constantly, a few manufactures stand out, and one of those is JAM pedals. And the proof is in their artist roster which includes: John Scofield, Julian Lage, Bill Frisell, Nels Cline, Kirk Fletcher, Steve Lukather, Greg Koch, Daniel Lanois, Dweezil Zappa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Andy Timmons and many more. JAM differentiates themselves by using a plethora of unique NOS components and hand-assembling and painting each unit in Athens, Greece.
