Solodallas SVDS Mini Boost Pedal
Official Solodallas April Sale!
Solodallas first came on the scene around 2015 with their Solodallas TSR Shaffer Replica pedal. The Solodallas TSR bottled the sonic magic of the 70's Shaffer Vega wireless Diversity System into a pedalboard-sized stompbox format. For several years the Solodallas Storm pedal was the most compact version of the "Sound of Angus" until the the release of the mini-sized SVDS boost.
The Solodallas sound is based on the compression/expansion process of the original wireless system, which had the unintended beneficial effect of increasing the presence, depth and tactile feel of any guitar. If you are familiar with the two-knob Storm pedal, sonically the SVDS is very much like a one-knob Storm in which the gain side is on "Full Angus" and the single knob of the SVDS controls the level. Below 10 o'clock the SVDS provides the Solodallas spaciousness while staying relatively clean. As the gain is increased the SVDS sounds bigger, more present, imparting it's own spicy crunch to the signal. With up to 30db of boost available the SVDS has no problem pushing your amp or other pedals. But we have always liked any Solodallas pedal at the end of the chain as a final icing on the cake. With is diminutive size, the SVDS fits perfectly into the role of "solo pedal" giving your guitar the kick it needs without compressing your tone or squashing the dynamics. No wonder Premier Guitar Magazine gave it their Premier Gear award.
In the words of Solodallas:
The Sound
Unlike typical clean boosts, the SVDS Boost adds vintage coloration and harmonics that instantly transport you to the golden era of rock. The unique "Goalpost" EQ design enhances the extreme ends of the frequency spectrum, while maintaining the integrity of your mid-range. With up to 30dB of boost, the SVDS unlocks new tonal possibilities, delivering rich harmonics, singing sustain, and even controlled feedback.
Pedal
Placement The SVDS Boost truly shines when placed after other overdrive, distortion, or fuzz pedals, adding dynamic response and restoring low-end fidelity that can often be lost with mid-boost pedals. Its ability to enhance your existing gear is unparalleled, making your guitar, amp, and pedals sound better than ever.
