The Chelsea is a exciting new Low End Fuzz Driver voiced for bass guitar that is not just another ho-hum bass fuzz pedal. Often with bass fuzz pedals the note definition gets lost, and the sound turns to mush. That's a real problem if you are the rhythm section and the band is depending on you for a solid beat. Some bass pedals use a "dry" mix to make sure their is still some note attack, but the Chelsea does it with only three knobs. As EQD says, "It's heavy without being too heavy" and that's a very apt description. Even when cranked way up the attack and note integrity remains. And when the tone is turned down for a darker sound, it does not sound as if your bass is under a pillow.
