USED Recovery Effects Pearl (Heavy Low-End Vintage Fuzz) Pedal - No Box Included
Excellent condition fuzz pedal with instructions but no box. No velcro or remnants of adhesive on the back.
The Recovery Effects Pearl Fuzz pedal -- named after their cat Pearl -- was originally created for bass but being guitar players at heart we also tried it with our Strat. The low end setting of the Recovery is gigantic, and either with bass or guitar you will rumble your way to low end nirvana. In the "high" toggle setting the Recovery behaves like a high quality vintage-style fuzz. The controls on the Recovery are a bit more expansive than most Fuzz pedals and we were able dial in lots of tones from brash lo-fi fizz to creamy smooth singing fuzz distortion. The control names are rather cryptic so we include the printed instructions. But in a nutshell they are as follows:
Destroy - Depth of distortion and sustain
Grip - Adds compression and evens out the dynamics
Scope - Tone, with clockwise reducing low end response for a bright sound
Level - Output level
Low/High toggle - Low end bass fuzz/Traditional guitar fuzz tone

At the heart of the pedal is an all-analog silicon design that sounds great with any pickup type. We use hand-picked, new-old-stock “oil can” BC109 transistors that add a classic, vintage tone to this modern fuzz. The user interface includes a range of controls including intensity, tonality, compression, output level, and a high/low switch that affects the amount of bottom end. The Pearl is a compact, simple-to-use, player-friendly pedal with a monster, low-end tone. In short, it is a force to be reckoned with.
Designed and assembled in Seattle, Washington. Operates on a standard 9Vdc Boss-style power supply (not included), but can also run at 18vdc for additional headroom. Includes a one-year limited warranty if registered within 30 days of delivery.
