Seymour Duncan APST-1 Twang Banger Strat Bridge Pickup - White Cover

Since its inception, the Fender Stratocaster has been a modder's paradise. And no part of the Strat has received more attention than the bridge pickup. If you want to beef up the bridge performance of your Strat but with a little twang, check out the Seymour Duncan Twang Banger. Duncan combined a beefy coil for more fullness, and added a steel base plate -- like a Tele -- for better low end performance. The Alnico 2 magnets provides attack sensitivity that is easily modulated, and keeps the high end twangy but not brittle. While it's often said you can't have it all, the Twang Banger makes your Strat a great country/blues hybrid.

In the words of Seymour Duncan...

Using a similar construction to the Tele Lead with a vintage-hot Tele style wind, sand cast alnico 2 rod magnets, and copper-plated steel bottom plate, the Twang Banger is a tele voiced strat pickup that delivers snap and twang. The high end is spanky and the low end is articulate (like a Telecaster), but the shape & size is that of a standard Stratocaster pickup.

Pairs well with our Alnico II Pro Staggered Strat in the neck and Alnico II Pro Staggered Strat RWRP in the middle. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Twang Banger uses sand cast alnico 2 rod magnets with a modern pole stagger, cloth push-back lead wire, a copper-plated steel bottom plate, and is wax potted for squeal free operation.
