The Sentient neck pickup is a high output Alnico 5 humbucker that is capable of both exceptional clean articulation, but retains it's composure under high gain situations. It's far from just a "metal" pickup and through Duncan's Shop Floor Custom program you can get it built is a variety of bobbins and covers. We really like this pickup, and think of it as a Duncan '59 that went to the gym. 

The Nazgul (a term that refers back to J.R.R. Tolkiens The Lord of the Rings) uses a ceramic magnet for increased efficiency, note separation and super tight response. It will drive your amp or pedal into a frenzy, but your right hand will always be in control of the action (unless you are a lefty). Metal and Progressive styles are not just about volume but also dynamics, and the Nazgul - Sentient pickup set has the capability to both whisper and scream.
