Emerson Custom Strat 5-Way 500k Prewired Kit Assembly

Emerson Wiring Assemblies set the bar for quality and performance, and feature 500K CTS hi-spec Pots and proprietary USA Paper-in-Oil Capacitor. For higher output and humbucker format Strat pickups -- or is you just want a brighter tone -- the Emerson 500K Strat Prewired Kit will extract the maximum amount of tone from your USA or import style Strat.

The Emerson Strat 5-Way 500K Prewired Kit features:

  • CTS hi-spec 500K split shaft pots (pickguard mount for plastic knobs, import guitars may require drilling out shaft hole to 3/8")
  • Oak Grigsby 5-Way switch
  • Switchcraft Jack and wiring
  • New Emerson USA-made .022µf Paper-in Oil Capacitor
  • Volume control, combined neck/middle tone control, bridge pickup tone control
  • Volume Mod (resistor/cap network retains clarity as you turn down, no more mud!)
  • Vintage cloth covered wiring

Emerson Prewired kits are unlike anything else on the market. Not content to use off-the-shelf parts, all Emerson kits feature CTS hi-spec pots. These pots have a smooth audio taper, easy turning, and a super-tight tolerance. Many common pots are as much as +/- 20% and you'll really appreciate the full usable sweep these potentiometers
provide.

In a desire to better control the quality and consistency of their product, Emerson commissioned their own Paper-in-Oil capacitors made in the USA to Emerson specifications. These precision hermetically sealed components combine vintage sound and modern manufacturing techniques to maximize your guitar tone. Much like tubes, Paper-in-Oil capacitors are closely identified with "the sound" of vintage guitars and amplifiers. Featuring military-spec tubular construction with sealed glass ends, these components are perfectly sized for guitars, and look so cool they might create a demand for clear pickguards.

Emerson also wires their kit to have what all Strats should have from the factory: A tone control for the bridge pickup. The first tone control is a combined neck/middle tone control, and the second tone control is wired to the bridge pickup. So at last the pickup that most needs a tone control has one. It's a clearly more useful arrangement than the traditional "correct" Strat tone controls.

Featuring expert workmanship and the best available components, Emerson Prewired Kits will surprise you with how much better your guitar or bass will sound. Get an Emerson kit and find out what your controls were meant to do!
