As many have experienced, many Tele neck pickups can be a little dark and compressed. And the last thing most people need to do is roll down the high end. The tone pot -- especially a 250K -- also naturally bleeds off a little high end. But with the bridge pickup you don't want a 500K or 1Meg pot. The solution is the "NTN" assembly where the neck pickup is bypassed from the tone control completely. Better attack, clarity, and the ability to roll down bridge high end without affecting the neck.

All Emerson assemblies now feature their exclusive Emerson Premier Pro Pots. Specifically engineered for guitar and bass applications they feature a tight +/-8% tolerance, an extra rugged terminal board, a precise taper optimized for guitars, and slightly larger lugs to make soldering easier. Along with Emerson-spec pots each assembly uses their exclusive made-in-USA Paper-in-Oil capacitor.  These precision hermetically sealed components combine vintage sound and modern manufacturing techniques to maximize your guitar tone. Featuring military-spec tubular construction with sealed glass ends, these components are perfectly sized for guitars, and look so cool they might create a demand for clear pickguards.

Note: The Volume Mod is a matter of taste, and the vintage wiring schematic also helps to reduce tone loss as the volume is rolled off. On our own Tele guitars our preference is no volume mod and it can be easily clipped out or un-soldered.
