Godin 5th Avenue TL Kingpin P90 Trans Cream HG SF w/Gig Bag

The Gogin Kinpin line has been around for many years, and has been a consistenly popular seller. The Godin 5th Avenue TL (thinline) Kingpin is certain to expand the Kingpin the audience by offering a true hollow body guitar with a 1.75" thick body. 

With it's all-Cherry construction the Kingpin TL retains the lively character of the full thickness kingpin, but with its thinner body and smaller air chamber the TL is more responsive to touch and playing styles. The thinner body gives up none of the full range response that we've come to expect from the Kingpin, and if anything we sense a greater low end presence. 

The P90 pickups are the perfect choice for this guitar and have always been our favorite on the full thickness Kingpin too. They've got the right amount of bite and clarity for pop and rock players, but can easily adapt to jazzier styles with a twist of the tone knob (or a set of flats). The TOM-style bridge provides for better intonation adjustment, and is a good idea on a thinner hollow body where intonation is more critical than on a fatter jazz box. 

We've always loved the Kingpin, and the comfort and responsiveness of the TL makes us love it even more. The Kingpin TL is a great addition to the line, and sure to bring more players into the Kingpin fold.

This is a Godin "SF" Factory Second guitar, which means a small cosmetic defect was found during inspection (see photo). Usually these blemishes are difficult to find except under close inspection. SF guitars carry a full factory warranty and you save some money. Photos are of the actual guitar.
