Godin Forum Natural RN Gloss Top 2025 Mini Jumbo Acoustic-Electric Guitar - No Bag/Case

The Godin Forum Acoustic capitalizes on the growing popularity of the Mini-Jumbo shape, and represents a remarkable value for an all solid wood guitar. Featuing a Spruce top, solid Mahogany back and sides, and Fishman electronics, the Canadian-made Forum is an excellent all-around guitar for both pickers and strummers. Photos are the actual guitar.

The Canadian Forum Mini Jumbo features:

  • Solid Spruce gloss top
  • Satin finish solid Mahogany back and sides
  • Mahogany neck
  • Godin proprietary thin finish that breathes and improves with age
  • Bound 16" radius Rosewood fretboard
  • 21 frets, joins body at the 14th fret
  • 1.72" nut width
  • 25.5" scale
  • Rosewood bridge
  • Graph Tech nut and saddle
  • Fishman Presys electronics with built-in tuner
  • Easy battery access
  • Sealed back tuners
  • No bag/case included

As the name implies the Mini Jumbo is shrunken version of the Jumbo design, originally developed by Gibson to rival the power and volume of the Martin Dreadnaught. The Mini's rounded lower bout is similar in size to the Dreadnaught, but the tighter waist and top yields a leaner midrange and a crisp top end. And where the boxy shape of the Dreadnaught is ideal for big strumming chords and flat picking, it's a little "lazy" to the touch and requires a heavier right hand. The Mini Jumbo is more sensitive and nuanced, and works well for a wide range of players. And while it's not a small guitar, the curvey shape and narrow waist is less bulky and more comfortable to hold.

The Godin Forum's classic pairing of Spruce and Mahogany produces a rich tone with ample low and midrange content, but with a top end presence that lends detail and harmonic complexity to both chords and finger picking. For what it gives up to a Dreadnaught in midrange drive, it makes up for that with a greater dynamic range and responsiveness to varying playing styles. And like any acoustic, it will only get better with time.

The Mini Jumbo really is the best of both worlds: Large enough to produce a satisfying low end, but with the top end response of a Concert or OM sized guitar. And with Godin's typical attention to detail, it's a great playing instrument with excellent fretwork, fit and finish. For players looking for a versatile workhorse, or those stepping up to their first premium guitar, the Godin Forum Mini Jumbo is worth a serious look.
