The Godin Session line has been around for many years, and the Session HT is the value leader of the Session line. Fit and finish is classic Godin; right down to sculpted neck heel, expertly finished frets, and easy playing neck.
The Godin GS-1 single coil pickups utilize a bar magnet and steel pole construction, which is a deviation from traditional vintage-style single coils. However they belt out vintage-inspired tones that sparkle, but with a beefier midrange and a pleasantly husky voice. You'll dig the chrome covered bridge pickup, which is a nice blend of output and clarity and is great for rhythm or lead work. For true single coil twang, pull up the tone knob to split the bridge pickup. Overall the feel, finish and playability of this North American-made guitar is insanely good for the price. For a guitarist moving up to the next level, or just someone on a budget who needs a real instrument, the Godin Session is hard to beat.
