The Session HT from Godin packs the features, flexibility and style that Godin does so well at a jaw-dropping price. With a Silver Leaf Maple body, 25.5” scale, maple neck, 5-way pickup switch and hard tail bridge, the Session feels instantly familiar and rock solid to boot. Finished in elegant Trans Cream, the Godin Session HT looks and plays like twice the price.

Made in Canada and assembled in the USA, the Godin Session features:

  • Silver Leaf Maple body
  • 25.5" scale 12" radius maple neck
  • Satin finish maple neck with gloss headstock
  • Indian Laurel fingerboard
  • 2 Godin GS-1 single coil pickups
  • 1 Godin chrome covered humbucker pickup with coil split
  • Hardtail bridge
  • Volume, Tone controls with pull tone control for coil split
  • 5-way pickup switch
  • Schaller strap locks

The Godin Session line has been around for many years, and for 2020 they've rolled out the new Session HT. Aimed at a critical price point, the Session HT differs from previous versions by way of its maple body, laurel fretboard and hardtail bridge. Fit and finish is classic Godin, right down to the nicely finished frets and smooth fret ends.

The Godin GS-1 single coil pickups utilize a bar magnet and steel pole construction, which is a deviation from traditional vintage-style single coils. However they belt out vintage-inspired tones that sparkle, but with a beefier midrange and a pleasantly husky voice. You'll dig the chrome covered bridge pickup, which is a nice blend of output and clarity and is great for rhythm or lead work. For true single coil twang, pull up the tone knob to split the bridge pickup. Overall the feel, finish and playability of this North American-made guitar is insanely good for the price. For a guitarist moving up to the next level, or just someone on a budget who needs a real instrument, the Godin Session is hard to beat.
