The Godin Stadium HT is their latest hot take on the classic T-style design. With a rugged ashtray bridge and rich single coil pickups it offers the flexibility and style that Godin does so well at a very competitive price for a North American guitar. It features a contoured Canadian basswood body, 25.5" scale, and 12" radius maple neck for a modern twang machine that easily traverses blues, country, rock and beyond. 

This is a Godin "SF" model which means it has a small cosmetic defect, often even too subtle for photography (see photo). Godin is very picky (to everybody's benefit), and you get a fully warranted new guitar at a savings.

The Godin Stadium HT gets it name from the popular body shape and rock-solid bridge assembly. The inspiration behind the guitar is rather obvious but Godin elevates the platform with the comfortably contoured Basswood body and their dynamic single coil pickups. The neck pickup is the GS-3 which some Godin fans will remember from the 3-pickup Passion model. It may be more of a Strat style neck pickup but we wouldn't change a thing. The oversized, pole pieces offer a rich, smooth tone that is easily shaped by your picking dynamics. It is bouncy and warm in the low end with glassy highs that will produce crystalline overtones when you give it some oomph. The Custom Cajun bridge pickup provides classic country spank with the punchy midrange you need to cut through the mix. The lightweight Basswood won't give you the low end heft of an Alder body, but the response is balanced on not overly bright. 

As the name states, the Godin Stadium HT uses their compensated T-bridge using 3 hefty adjustable bridge saddles with a specially beveled ashtray plate that gives your hand a place to rest without getting in the way. We think this is a good move, and the string-through fixed bridge gives the guitar more warmth and a solid low end response than a floating bridge.

The Godin formula of value and features is a compelling one, and Godin continues to tweak the recipe to provide new twists and benefits. The Stadium HT adds a traditional bridge and a lightweight body that makes the guitar more appealing to traditionalists without losing the Godin touch. Breaking the status quo again, the Stadium HT is another Godin hit in our book.
