The Cajón is a simple box percussion instrument from Peru that can be played with hands, fingers, brushes or sticks. The Kala Cajón features a fixed snare mechanism behind the upper portion of the faceplate which mimics a snare drum-like effect for added percussive possibilities, as well as a ported sound hole for ample low-end and resonance.
