USED Epiphone '58 Korina Inspired by Gibson Explorer Aged Natural 2023 Left-Handed Electric Guitar w/OHSC

For our left handed rockers: What was Gibson thinking when they released the Explorer over 65 years ago? Possibly thinking that they were getting their clock cleaned by Fender, and needed to update their stodgy image. Regardless, the Explorer was too weird for its time and was dropped from catalog in 1963....and went into hibernation until the dawn of hard rock and metal.

The "Inspired by Gibson" series of guitars elevates the standard Epiphone Explorer with a light weight Korina body, long tenon set neck, full-sized CTS pots, and Gibson USA Burstbucker pickups. The Burstbucker pickups are unpotted Alnico II pickups made very much in the mold of an early vintage PAF. Even the "overwound" Burstbucker 3 bridge pickup is wound under 9K, and is overwound only in terms of vintage specs. With the gain potential of modern amps and pedals "weaker pickups" are they way to go in terms of sustain, harmonics and touch sensitivity (unless your thing is super tight metal crunch). If you could get your hands on a real '58 Explorer, the pickups would be very much like the Burstbucker.

For a reasonable price, the Inspired by Gibson Epiphones offer a higher of level of hardware, electronics and are a definite upgrade over the typical Epiphone. If you want to jump in the world radical Gibson shapes, this left handed Explorer is ready to rock.

Excellent condition 2023 left-handed model in great condition except for a couple purely cosmetic finish cracks (see photos). Otherwise the guitar shows only signs of typical handling with no chips or dents. All guitars receive a pro setup before shipping. It's a big box and shipping is expensive. Locations in the Northeast will get a partial shipping create based on actual shipping cost.
