Fender makes as many different flavors of Stratocaster as Gatorade makes hydration drinks, but the the Fender Ultra Stratocaster sits at the top of the Strat lineup. Just about every playing and comfort enhancement is included in the Ultra Strat such as a compound radius neck, sculpted neck pocket heel, 2-point vibrato bridge and locking tuners.
The lower output stacked-coil Ultra Noiseless pickups nudge ever closer to the sound of vintage without the nuisance of noise and hum. For live venues or if you love your gain pedals, you'll dig the benefits of noiseless. The anodized pick guard is a cool touch but note that anodized finishes are non-conductive and it does not improve shielding (thank you noiseless pickups). There have been many incarnations of the S-1 switching system, and many of them questionable. When you press the button, the Ultra's S-1 simply turns on the neck pickup when the pickup switch is in positions 1, 2, and 3 (1 being the bridge setting). This provides the very handy Tele-like neck+middle, and if for only that is worth it.
For a guitar introduced in 1954, the Stratocaster remains consistently popular and relevant. And the Strat Ultra with it's extensive features and first-class workmanship is truly worthy of the name.
This barely used Fender Ultra Stratocaster is in pristine condition with zero wear and all the case candy.
