Fender Made-in-Japan (MIJ) instruments have always been prized for their excellent build and playing quality. And this 2006 Jazzmaster is no exception. From the collection of a local professional this guitar has been used but not abused, and is in very good condition with a couple minor scratches and small dings. If you want to find out what the MIJ mojo is all about this is a great introduction.
This 2006 MIJ Jazzmaster features:
When introduced in the 1958, the Jazzmaster was Fender's most expensive guitar, and aimed at up market Gibson guitars and jazz players. As a jazz guitar it was a flop, but it found favor with surf rockers, and later punk and avant-garde players. The wide bobbin pickups span a tonal range from warm and "jazzy" at the neck to classic surf-twang at the bridge. The preset "rhythm" circuit controls and somewhat finicky vibrato bridge are the best of 50's over-engineering, but the Jazzmaster has stayed in the catalog long after other models have vanished. This all-original MIJ Jazzmaster is a great example of Japanese Fender quality, and is ready for its next assignment.
