USED Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker D Aged White 2007 Electric Guitar - No Bag/Case

Originally intended as a cost-effective guitar to appeal to students and newbies, the Gibson Melody maker has developed a following as a spunky lightweight guitar with a bright, punchy tone. This two pickup model -- sometimes known as the Melody Maker D -- is a reissue of an early 60's MM that Gibson only made around 2007-2008.

The pickups -- purported to be essenially half a humbucker -- are bright, with a smooth top end and plenty of clarity. The steel pole/bar magnet construction gives them a little more midrange heft and less of a glassy top end than the typical Fender pickup. 

The Mahogany neck is neither 50's baseball bat or a slim 60's, and tapers from roughly .820" to .925" putting it firmly in the "Medium C" territory. Being a "budget" guitar there is no fancy binding or inlays, but it plays as well as any other Gibson.

If you like the clarity and bite of a single coil but prefer the vibe of the Gibson set-neck scale length, the Melody Maker is a lot of fun. Its light weight also makes it a good pick for those long jams and gigs. For short money, the Melody Maker D is a solid player and an excellent value.

Excellent condition used guitar with no fret wear and just one small mark on the bout (see photo). Does not include case of bag, but we do have gig bags available. We can safely pack and ship either way. All guitars get a pro setup and checklist.
