Here is a very nicely preserved Gretsch 6186 Clipper with original hard case. From our inspection the guitar is all original with tigh glue joints and no signs of significant repairs. The binding is all intact and in very good shape and only slight shrinkage. There is the normal wear and tear you'd expect from a 60 year-old guitar, but the finish is not worn off in any spots and the frets are very fresh looking. It's possible it's seen a refret, but it may have just spent a long time in the case. Plastics and plating are all in good shape, no cracks heavy pitting. The HiloTron pickup works fine, as do the controls

The roughest thing about the guitar is the case, which is certainly in good condition at best. But it did it's job. 

This Gretsch 6186 Clipper is a good player and a good piece of history all at the same time. All guitars receive a pro setup prior to shipping.
