Handcrafted in Spain, Contreras Guitars have gained a reputation for making world-class instruments. Founder Manuel Contreras Sr began as a furniture maker, eventually setting up his own shop in Madrid in 1962 to apply his woodworking skills to innovative guitar designs.
Since then, Contreras has expanded beyond the original workshop, producing a wide array of high-quality instruments that have become renowned by classical players around the world. This 80s-era studio model speaks to the quality of those original instruments. With warm and articulate tones, this is an impressive, old-fashioned classical guitar at a great price. While we don't have the exact specifications, it appears to have a cedar top, rosewood back, sides, and bridge, and a beautiful ebony fretboard. Includes hardshell case.
