USED Fender Deluxe Eight 1954 8-String Lap Steel Guitar w/Tweed Case *All Original!*

Once in a while a real gem makes it way to the shop. In this case it's an extremely well preserved 1954 Fender Deluxe Eight (8) Lap Steel Guitar with original tweed case. In 1946 Leo Fender got his start making Lap Steel guitars, several years before the first production solid body electric guitars. And this experience helped shape the first solid body guitars, right down to pickup design. Plus those iconic chrome knurled knobs, drawn metal jack cup, and translucent Blonde finish. It's all original -- right down to the little piece of masking tape with the date signed by "Manny" - totally playable and ready for it's next chapter. It's very cool to have such a great piece of history come into the shop, and we're looking forward to finding it a new home.
