USED Fender FR-50 Sunburst 2012 Resonator Acoustic Guitar w/Gator Gig Bag

Originally developed to give acoustic guitars a serious volume boost in live settings, the resonator quickly found its own unmistakable voice and became a cornerstone of blues, country, and bluegrass. The Fender FR-50 is a fun, affordable way to get into that earthy, metallic, unmistakably Americana sound without spending vintage-Dobro money.

With a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a spider-cone resonator design, it delivers a crisp, punchy response with the right balance of woody warmth and midrange metallic bite. The classic sunburst finish and Fender “F” holes give it a sharp, traditional look that fits the sound perfectly.

This particular guitar is currently set up for standard fretted playing, but it takes to slide work naturally for those classic Delta and backwoods tones. Want to go full Dobro style? A quick, inexpensive nut-extension conversion and a small setup tweak will have you chasing those high-and-lonesome lap-slide lines in no time.

Excellent condition guitar with no real signs of playing wear or handling. No fret wear. Includes professional setup and inspection checklist.

In the words of Fender:

Resonator guitars are a fascinating part of America's rich musical history, and few are more beautiful and playable than the FR-50. Its round neck lets you play it in the standard fingerstyle manner or slip into slide mode for expressively resounding solos. Leave it in standard tuning, or play some deep blues in open G; the FR-50 is ready for your very best stuff. Plus, it looks as cool as it sounds, with a chrome resonator and a handsome Sunburst-finish spruce top with distinctive Fender "F" holes.
